Theodore C. Hanf joined Kegel, Tobin & Truce in 1987, becoming a principal of the firm in 1991.   He is certified in Workers’ Compensation law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Hanf defends employers and workers’ compensation insurance carriers in complex cases and environmental exposures as well as in other injury claims.  He has also served as an arbitrator in workers’ compensation matters.

Experience: Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hanf was a television news producer and employee information manager for a California based public utility. 

While a member of the firm, Ted has served as president of the California Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorneys’ Association, a participant in the Rand Corporation Study of California Workers’ Compensation, and as a member of the Administrative Director’s Advisory Committee.  He has also held appointments as an Associate faculty member at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Education: Ted earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Johns Hopkins University in 1971.  He went on to earn his law degree from Loyola University School of Law in 1975, and a Masters of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2003.
