Rene A. Muñoz began working for Kegel, Tobin and Truce in 2010. He defends insured employers and their carriers in the defense of matters before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
Experience: Mr. Muñoz began his legal career as a law clerk at the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Office of General Counsel Human Resources team. He went on to work as a law clerk under Steven Jimenez at the Law Offices of Adelson, Testan & Brundo in San Francisco, CA. In addition, Mr. Muñoz served as a certified law clerk at the United States Attorney’s Office Major Crimes Unit and represented the United States in Federal Court.
Prior to joining Kegel, Tobin and Truce, Mr. Muñoz was employed as an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Wallin & Klarich. He represented hundreds of clients in felony and misdemeanor matters. Mr. Muñoz also worked as Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County, tried several jury trials and presented hundreds of preliminary hearings.
Education: Mr. Muñoz earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2002. He received his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2006.
