Experience: Mr. Nguyen began his legal career as a law clerk with the Office of the Chief Trial Counsel at the State Bar of California. He went on to work as a certified legal intern at the San Diego District Attorney’s Office and the Department of the Public Defender in San Diego.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Nguyen was employed as a Deputy Public Defender with the Office of the Public Defender in Riverside. Mr. Nguyen gained both misdemeanor and felony trial experience while employed at the public defender’s office.
Prior to joining Kegel, Tobin & Truce, Mr. Nguyen practiced workers’ compensation law as an Associate Attorney at Hanna, Brophy, MacLean, McAleer & Jensen, LLP. He has represented self-insured employers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators in all aspects of Workers’ Compensation defense including Serious & Willful Misconduct and Labor Code Section 132a claims.
Education: Mr. Nguyen earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government from Dartmouth College in 1997. He received his law degree from the University of San Diego, School of Law in 2005.
